Two people have been injured with stab wounds following an altercation in Nottingham city centre.
The incident took place shortly before 5am this morning in Huntingdon Street and officers were called to the scene.
Upon arrival, two male victims were found in nearby Nile Street. They were taken to hospital and have been treated for injuries that are not believed to be life-altering or life-threatening.
An investigation is underway and anyone who witnessed the incident is being urged to come forward.
Detective Inspector Emma Pollard said:
“Our investigation is at an early stage and I would urge anyone with information to come forward and speak to us.
“We understand the concern incidents of this nature can cause. I would like to reassure the public that we are working every day to target people who carry weapons and to work proactively with groups to prevent offences from happening.”
