Testing
Testing is where we do a test to see who has coronavirus. Some people are tested more than once.

Between 9 June 2021 and 15 June 2021, there have been 6,061,174 tests.
Cases
A confirmed case is someone who has tested positive for coronavirus.
9,055 new people had a confirmed positive test result reported on 16 June 2021.
Between 10 June 2021 and 16 June 2021, 55,216 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows an increase of 31.8% compared to the previous 7 days.
Vaccinations
Vaccines are currently given in 2 doses, at least 21 days apart.
42,021,089 people had been given a first dose by the end of 15 June 2021.
30,440,373 people had been given a second dose by the end of 15 June 2021.
Healthcare
Some people with coronavirus have to go into hospital.
173 people with coronavirus went into hospital on 12 June 2021.
Between 6 June 2021 and 12 June 2021, 1,250 went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows an increase of 41.4% compared to the previous 7 days.
There were 1,177 patients in hospital with coronavirus on 14 June 2021.
Some people in the hospital need to use a special device called a mechanical ventilator to help them breathe.
There were 206 coronavirus patients in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator on 15 June 2021.
Deaths
There were 9 deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported on 16 June 2021.
