Testing
Testing is where we do a test to see who has coronavirus. Some people are tested more than once.

Between 11 June 2021 and 17 June 2021, there have been 6,166,241 tests.
Cases
A confirmed case is someone who has tested positive for coronavirus.
10,476 new people had a confirmed positive test result reported on 18 June 2021.
Between 12 June 2021 and 18 June 2021, 61,181 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows an increase of 33.3% compared to the previous 7 days.
Vaccinations
Vaccines are currently given in 2 doses, at least 21 days apart.
42,460,632 people had been given a first dose by the end of 17 June 2021.
30,898,467 people had been given a second dose by the end of 17 June 2021.
Healthcare
Some people with coronavirus have to go into hospital.
221 people with coronavirus went into hospital on 14 June 2021.

There were 1,251 patients in hospital with coronavirus on 16 June 2021.
Some people in the hospital need to use a special device called a mechanical ventilator to help them breathe.
There were 210 coronavirus patients in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator on 17 June 2021.
Deaths
There were 11 deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported on 18 June 2021.
