Between 16 March 2022 and 22 March 2022, there have been 5,141,533 tests. This shows an increase of 5.6% compared to the previous 7 days.

Cases

A confirmed case is someone who has tested positive for coronavirus.

Between 17 March 2022 and 23 March 2022, 603,597 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows an increase of 16.9% compared to the previous 7 days.

Vaccinations

Vaccines are currently given in 3 doses.

52,756,382 people had been given a first dose by the end of 22 March 2022.

49,336,877 people had been given a second dose by the end of 22 March 2022.

38,683,737 people had been given a booster or third dose by the end of 22 March 2022.

Healthcare

Some people with coronavirus have to go into hospital.

Some people in the hospital need to use a special device called a mechanical ventilator to help them breathe.

There were 316 coronavirus patients in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator on 22 March 2022.

Deaths

Between 17 March 2022 and 23 March 2022, there have been 877 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test. This shows an increase of 17.9% compared to the previous 7 days.
