Ukraine guests and host families gather in West Bridgford for nation’s Independence Day

Guests and families hosting Ukraine nationals gathered in West Bridgford today to mark the nation’s 31 years of the country’s independence from Soviet rule.

Local co-ordinators host regular catch ups Wightman Hall scout hall on Stratford Road in the town and this latest meeting saw the group bake cakes featuring the country’s blue and yellow colours.

They are an opportunity to join together and share views, ideas and support to help with each other’s network, with English lessons and donated clothes available.
