Unauthorised veterinary medicine was identified by Border Force based at East Midlands Airport.
The product was detained and subsequently seized by the VMD.
The Veterinary Medicines Directorate said:
‘The parcel was addressed to residential premises in Staffordshire and was shipped from Iraq.
The parcel contained:
- One bottle of Seven in One (120 capsules) manufactured by Kexing
This product was intended for use in racing pigeons and is not an authorised veterinary medicine in the UK.
The medicine was seized under Regulation 25 (Importation of unauthorised veterinary medicinal products) of the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013.’
