River Trent at Carlton on Trent including Beck Cottage
Flooding is expected – immediate action required
River levels remain high but steady at the Torksey river gauge as a result of spring tides coinciding with high river levels. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. The area most at risk are Carlton on Trent including Beck Cottage. No further rainfall is forecast over the next few days, however we expect river levels to remain high until tomorrow morning, Tuesday 19th November. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated this afternoon, 18/11/19, or as the situation changes.
