Updated: Nottinghamshire roads affected by heavy snow easing back to normal

Traffic on these roads is delayed because of heavy snowfall.

In an update at 9:30 am Transport Nottingham said:

‘After snow overnight for parts of Nottingham, our road network is now mainly clear with public transport running mainly without issue, but please do check with your operator.

‘Thank you to the gritter drivers who were have been working hard, and are still out targeting areas such

‘Some roads north of the city up to Ashfield are affected by heavy snowfall overnight.

‘These include Mapperley – Woodborough Road, Bestwood/Top Vallley – Muirfield and Bewcastle, Bilborough- Stockfield Road and St. Anns – Brewsters Road. Teams have also been sent to grit priority paths- main walkways, shopping precincts, and school approaches.’

7 am Friday 9 January:

A60 Mansfield Road Nottingham: Just passable due to snow on A60 Mansfield Road both ways from A617 Sherwood Way South to A614 Ollerton Road.

A617 Sherwood Way: Just passable due to snow on the A617 Sherwood Way both ways from A38 Kings Mill Road East to A6191 Southwell Road West.

A38 Kings Mill: Just passable due to snow on A38 Kings Mill Road East both ways from M1 J28 (Alfreton / Mansfield) to B6023 Mansfield Road (Mcdonalds / Ashfield Gateway Crossroads).
