The A46 in Leicestershire is closed in both directions between the A50 (Groby) and the M1 J21A for a police led incident.

The A46 Between J21a and the roundabout of Anstey Lane A5630 is currently due to an ongoing incident.
We are attending with other emergency services colleagues. Motorists should avoid the area, find alternative routes and expect delays.
The A46 in Leicestershire is closed in both directions between the A50 (Groby) and the M1 J21A for a police led incident
Leicestershire Police are in attendance, leading the response to the incident.
Diversion Routes
Road users travelling southbound are advised to follow the Hollow Diamond symbol on road signs;
- Exit the A46 at the A50 junction
- Take the fourth exit off the roundabout onto the A50 south
- Continue along the A50 passing through Lena Drive junction, Bradgate Hill and Field Head roundabout to the A50/M1 J22 interchange.
- At the interchange, take the first exit and head southbound on the M1 to J21A, where the M1 and A46 converge.
Road users travelling northbound on the M1 are advised to follow the solid Diamond symbol on road signs;
- Continue on the M1 northbound and exit at J22
- Take the fourth exit off the roundabout onto the A50 north Markfield Road.
- Continue along the A50 passing through Field Head roundabout, Bradgate Hill and Lena Drive junction,
- At the A50/A46 roundabout, take the first exit to re-join the A46.
