The A46 in Leicestershire is closed southbound between the A6006 (Melton Mowbray) and the B676 (Six Hills) due to a collision and recovery work.

The A46 in Leicestershire is closed southbound between the A6006 (Melton Mowbray) and the B676 (Six Hills) due to a collision in which an HGV left the carriageway.
Emergency services have been on scene since shortly after 15:00, with Leicestershire Police leading the response and supported by Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and other responders.
The closure has been installed to safely recover the HGV that left the carriageway following the collision.

Due to the complex nature of the recovery, there are no times for the reopening of the carriageway at this stage.
Diversion Route
Road users are advised to follow the solid triangle diversion symbol:
- Exit the A46 southbound at the A46/A6006 Dalby Interchange.
- At the Interchange, turn right and join the A6006 towards Asfordby and follow for just over a mile.
- At the next junction, turn right and heading south along the B676 for approx. 1.5 miles.
- At the A46/B676 junction , rejoin the A46
