Firefighters from five stations are dealing with a large vehicle fire on the A46 southbound between Kneeton and Car Colston.
Crews from Bingham, London Road, Worksop, Newark and Loughborough were called shortly after 11am and remain at the scene, according to a fire service update.
People are being asked to avoid the area while emergency services deal with the incident.
The fire service has also urged members of the public not to fly drones above or near the scene.
