A bus and a tram have crashed in Chilwell.

‘We are currently at the scene of a collision between a tram and a bus in Chilwell.
Emergency services were called to Inham Road at 9.04am today (19 February) following reports of the incident.
‘Sergeant Nicola Thomas, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “While the incident has caused disruption this morning, there have been no reports of any serious injuries and the scene is now being made safe.
“Inham Road is likely to remain closed for the rest of the day while investigations and recovery of the vehicles take place.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes. I’d like to thank people affected for their understanding.”

‘Road blocked and traffic heavier than normal due to tram and bus crash on Inham Road both ways from Valley Road to Field Lane.’

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said at 10:04 am on Thursday 19 February:
‘Firefighters are currently in attendance at an incident on Inham Road Eastbound, where a tram and bus have collided.
‘All passengers are safe however some are being treated on scene for minor injuries – thankfully none are life altering.

‘As you’d expect, the road is currently closed and will be for some time.’
‘NET Tram will be able to advise further on the tram service.
‘Thank you for your patience whilst we deal with this incident.’
Nottingham City Transport said:
‘There are severe delays on Orange 36 because of an RTC in Chilwell, where two buses are currently stuck. Further details to follow.’
NET Tram said:
‘We currently have no tram service between Toton Lane & Bramcote Lane
