Updates: Flood alerts issued for River Trent in Nottinghamshire

The Environment Agency has issued several warnings across the region.

The box below updates in real-time:

River Trent in Nottinghamshire
Flooding is possible – be prepared

River levels remain high but steady at the Shardlow river gauge as a result of recent rainfall. Consequently, flooding continues. We are aware of intermittent issues with the forecast shown online at higher levels at this gauge. This does not affect our Flood Warning Service. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including communities near to the River Trent, the B6540 Tamworth Road at Sawley, Thrumpton Lane at Thrumpton, the Queens Drive Park and Ride, Stoke Lane at Stoke Bardolph, the Caythorpe to Hoveringham road, and cellars of low-lying properties at Cavendish Bridge. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers which may be flooded. This message will be updated this evening, 01/03/20, or as the situation changes.
