There are lane closures while emergency services deal with a vehicle fire.

11 am – traffic moving through the area

AA Roadwatch said at 8:59 am:

‘Queueing traffic and two lanes closed due to recovery work and earlier vehicle fire on M1 Northbound at J23A A42 (Derby / East Midlands Airport / Tamworth).

‘Lanes one and two (of four) are closed.’
