Updated: Tram service resumes after morning of network failure

There are no services across the Nottingham tram network this morning.

Update 15:00 – NET – ‘We are running to all stops, but with longer wait times. Please refer to the timings on the displays.’
Update 13:30 – NET – ‘We’re sending some of our trams out of our depot towards the termini.
‘These trams will be in service. Some services have headed out towards Clifton and Toton and we’ll soon have services departing for Hucknall and Phoenix Park.
‘We’ll update again once we have more services departing. The timings will start to show again shortly, which will indicate a tram is due to arrive.’

Update 11:30 – NET: ‘Our engineers have identified and resolved the issues which have resulted in us cancelling tram services.

‘Our trams will be returning to our depot out of service before we can attempt to reinstate passenger services to all stops.

‘As soon as we can get trams back into service, we’ll keep you updated.’

NET said on Saturday 28 February:

‘Following on from yesterday’s disruption, we are now experiencing network-wide issues affecting all tram services, and therefore, we have no tram services operating.

‘We’re working to fix the issue and will keep you updated as soon as the situation changes.’

All bus services and East Midlands Railway are accepting tram tickets.
