Road closures are in place on the A617 Rainworth Bypass as part of an ongoing incident.
Updated 7 pm – Safely resolved and road reopened
Emergency services are currently in attendance after concerns were raised over a person’s safety.
This was reported to police around 4.50pm today (11 October), with road closures immediately then put in place.
As part of this, the A617 has been closed between the roundabouts in Kirklington Road and Southwell Road West.

Signed diversions have been put in place, although motorists are advised to consider alternative routes to avoid traffic disruption.
