Covid: No appointments at local vaccine centres as shortage hits Nottinghamshire

NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG is reassuring the public that NHS staff and volunteers across the county continue to work hard to vaccinate eligible people.

As a result of a reduced vaccine supply over the next week, there have been a limited number of appointments available. We anticipate that vaccine supply will increase significantly over the next few weeks and we will adjust our appointment availability accordingly.

An NHS spokesperson said: “The Covid-19 vaccination programme in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire has made considerable headway over the last few weeks and we would like to thank everyone involved for their continued support.

“Fluctuations in vaccine supply has been planned for and factored into the planning of the vaccine rollout. The availability of appointments will vary in response to the supply we are allocated.

“We would advise that if there is no availability at the site you want to visit, you should keep checking back each day as new appointments are released on a regular basis.

“The public have been incredibly supportive of the vaccination programme, and understand the limitations of vaccine supply – we would like to thank everyone for their continued support.”

The CCG is still urging those in the priority groups to book a vaccine, these include: over 60s, carers, those who are clinically extremely vulnerable and clinically vulnerable as well as frontline health and social care staff. Please keep checking for the next available appointments.

If you are eligible, you can book your Covid-19 vaccination appointment by visiting the local booking link or calling the local booking line on 0115 883 4640 between 8am – 8pm during weekdays and 9am – 5pm on weekends.

You can also call the National Booking Service on 119 or use the national booking link to book an appointment at the large scale Mansfield Vaccination Centre or your nearest pharmacy-led site.
