The incident happened on 14 December 2020 at Junction 28.
Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit said:
‘M1 J28. The driver of this van stopped and fell asleep at the wheel whilst in lane 2 of the motorway (van moved prior to photos).
‘Wasted driver pushes us away towards the live motorway lane, we won’t accept that – Tasered and arrested. Blew 59µg, limit 35.’
