The incident was reported on Tuesday 20 April.
Police in Rushcliffe said:
“It has been reported to officers that people have been onto the school premises after school has finished on Tuesday 20th April and although no criminal offences appear to have been committed a lot of mess was caused.
”Whoever had been in there decided it would be fun to tip all the reception children’s seedlings out and throw mud everywhere and caused a general nuisance which although not an offence is clearly upsetting for the children after all their work.
”If anyone recalls seeing anything suspicious, especially if anyone was sighted climbing over the wall that leads on to the A60 please contact PC1530 Carlile or email rushcliffesouthNPA@nottinghamshire.pnn.police.uk”
