A tree has been vandalised in West Bridgford.
The tree is one of several planted in the Blake Road area in 2018.
Vandals broke the trunk completely leaving the tree laying flat on the pavement.
A resident said:
“One of the beautiful new street trees on Blake Road, planted in spring 2018, has been vandalised over the weekend.
“It’s such a shame – after just a few short years, it was starting to get really established, providing food and shelter for wildlife, as well as helping to clean the air in our friendly suburban community.
‘They play a hugely important role in helping to combat climate change.’
