A proactive vehicle stop led to the capture of a suspect wanted in connection with a street robbery.
It was reported the victim was walking home when he was forced into a car.
His pockets were searched and tobacco and food items were stolen from him before he was pushed out of the vehicle around 10 minutes later.
An investigation was quickly launched following the incident which happened in Redwood Crescent, Beeston, at around 1am on Friday 12 August.
Officers on patrol in The Park area of Nottingham took swift action after spotting a car believed to have been involved in the incident during the early hours of Friday 19 August 2022.
They arrested the driver, a 41-year-old man, on suspicion of robbery.
Detective Inspector Simon Harrison, from Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“The force takes all reports of robbery extremely seriously and continues to work hard to drive down violence in our communities, keep people safe and seek justice for victims.
“Thanks to some excellent work by our officers a suspect has been arrested and questioned in connection with this incident as we continue to progress with our investigation.”
