A male has been arrested on suspicion of serious assault following reports of an assault in or around the Rushcliffe area of Nottinghamshire.
Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called just before 8.30pm today (29 May) to a report that a male had been assaulted at around 6.30pm.
A male has been taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre with serious injuries.
Inspector John Lees, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a serious incident and I would urge anyone who was in the area and may have seen anything to come forward.
“Violence on our streets is completely unacceptable and anyone who has any information should get in touch with us.”
