Victim left with body, leg and arm wounds after Nottingham stabbing

A 20-year-old man has been charged in connection with a stabbing.

The victim, a 19-year-old man, remains in hospital with injuries to his body, legs and arms following the incident in in Belper Road, Radford at around 3.10pm on Thursday 10 June.

The suspect from Radford, has been charged with wounding, robbery and possession of bladed article.

He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday (14 June 2021) and he has been remanded into custody. He will appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 12 July 2021.

Detective Sergeant Nigel Malik, of Nottinghamshire Police’s criminal investigation department, is leading the investigation.

He said: “This was a serious assault in which a young man suffered significant injuries. Knife crime has a devastating impact on people’s lives.

“Colleagues across various departments have worked hard on this case. The work of our response teams was again outstanding. They attended the scene quickly and administered emergency first aid to the victim who was found lying on the pavement bleeding heavily. Other officers quickly secured evidence before the arrest and charge.

Two men aged 19 and 21, and a 16-year-old boy, who were also arrested in connection with the investigation, have since been released on bail while investigations continue.
