Images and video inside Nottingham Station on the day after the major arson attack.
Access to the station today ( Jan 13 ) is via the Station Street door – or from Queens Road (externally not via escalator doors), the car park is open for parking on the ground floor and first floor only – pedestrian exit is available from the car park entrance/exit via the ramp up towards platform 7, and inside the station through the normal ticket barriers.
A cordon remains in place around much of the building, however access can be made by travellers at the Station Street entrance.
Much of the inside is taped off, but access to the platforms is clear, with staff on hand to give advice to passengers.
The damage caused by the attack to a walkway bridge can clearly be seen from the platforms – inside the concourse area the walkway is blocked off with wooden boards.
