In the early hours of this morning Tuesday 6 August firefighters at Loughborough station were called to a Hathern  domestic house fire.
Three people in total were removed from the property by fire service which was smoke logged to the ground floor.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said:
“Breathing Apparatus under rapid deployment extinguished the fire and searched the rest of the property for casualties.
“East Midlands Ambulance Service were in attendance to provide medical treatment for smoke inhalation to patients.
“The building once searched was then vented of smoke using positive pressure ventilation.
“The fire was caused by cooking and we would like to remind our communities to not cook when feeling tired or suffering from the affects of alcohol.
‘In the event of a fire. Get everyone out of the house shutting internal doors behind you to limit the fire spread and call 999 asking for the fire service stating your location and reason for the emergency.’
