Fire Service warning after long delays on the M1 yesterday.
Note this incident was reported yesterday.
A collision and lorry fire led to the M1 at J23 being closed in both directions for most of the afternoon on Monday 14 March.
Both carriageways stopped for safety and structural checks to the bridge.
Luckily there were no injuries.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said:
‘We have been in attendance at a fire involving a refrigerated lorry on the M1 motorway. ( Monday 14 March )
‘Fire has now been extinguished but delays are expected for some time.
‘Make sure you always stick to the speed limit, especially when approaching an incident, it will often be reduced to maintain everyone’s safety.’
