Prince Harry and Meghan visited the city on Thursday 15 October, meeting young people, charity workers and members of the public during a series of engagements.

Their first stop was the Community Recording Studio (CRS) in St Ann’s, where crowds gathered to welcome them. The couple greeted well-wishers, posed for photographs and spoke to people outside the building.

Meghan told one member of the public that it was “great to be back”.

The organisation, based in Lowdham Street, was established in 1991 and provides music, creative activities, mentoring and other opportunities for young people.

Harry has supported the charity for several years and returned in September 2025 to announce a £1.1 million donation to BBC Children in Need to support its redevelopment.

The couple’s Nottingham programme also included visits to Himmah Hub, which works to tackle food poverty, and Epic Partners, which provides activities, mentoring and support for young people.

The visit marks a return to a city with particular significance for the couple. Nottingham was the location of their first joint public engagement in December 2017, shortly after they announced their engagement.

Harry and Meghan returned to live in Britain in August 2026, having spent six years in the United States after stepping down as working members of the Royal Family.

Thursday’s appearances were not official royal engagements.
