The road was closed at around 9:30 pm last night by Nottinghamshire County Council Highways.

The council says it will review the closure after the rush hour traffic.
The area often floods and traffic traveling through can cause bow waves which threaten several properties along the route near Wilford Lane tram stop.

Trams are currently running – Nottingham City Transport and Trent Barton buses are re-routing – some school services are delayed by up to 45 minutes.
Some traffic appeared to be ignoring the closure which is in place from the Compton Acres junction – and from the Wilford Lane / Ashdown Close junction.
