Adbolton Hall has announced it’s to close down.
The announcement was made in a statement by owners MPS Group today:
‘It is with deep regret that the Directors of Adbolton Hall Ltd have made the very difficult decision to close Adbolton Hall and to cease trading.
‘This is as a result of the increasing difficulty to employ suitable staff, the increasing costs for agency workers and decreasing occupancy levels within the home.
‘Heat, light and power and the increasing cost of living are placing additional strains and sadly we are now in the position of being unable to sustain the service.’
We are working closely with Nottinghamshire County Council who are leading from a social care perspective.
Nottinghamshire County Council have allocated a social worker to all individuals living in the service to support them to settle in a new home.
‘We are also working closing with the Care Quality Commission and have a robust action plan in place to ensure safe care is delivered during this transitional period.’
Some residents may transfer to an MPS sister home Highfields in Bulwell.
The Bulwell facility is thriving and there are no plans for this home to close.
