West Bridgford Central Avenue improvements start this week

The first phase expected to take approximately two weeks to complete.

Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) is collaborating with Nottinghamshire County Council to invest part of RBC’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) allocation in upgrading seating, planters, and street furniture along West Bridgford’s Central Avenue.

Work will begin on 26 March, with the first phase expected to take approximately two weeks to complete. Pedestrians, cyclists, and local businesses will experience minimal disruption, as there are no planned road or footpath closures.

The initial phase includes:

“It’s fantastic to see this project underway, delivering visible improvements to West Bridgford town centre.

“Small enhancements like these can make a significant difference, and we hope they will encourage more people to visit and enjoy the area.

“Supporting Rushcliffe’s retail areas and local businesses is a key priority, and this initiative is one way we’re fulfilling that commitment.”
