A carer from Carefound Home Care in West Bridgford has been awarded for her ‘dedication and passion’ at the Great British Care Awards.
The regional finals of the Great British Care Awards were held at the East Midlands Conference Centre (EMCC) in Nottingham last week, where Sarah Gamble, who is a care assistant at Carefound Home Care in West Bridgford, was awarded the Home Care Worker award.
Speaking about Sarah’s award win the judging panel said:
“Sarah is a very dedicated and passionate carer who has worked incredibly hard over this difficult time. A well-deserved winner.”
The Great British Care Awards pay tribute to individuals from across the UK who have demonstrated outstanding excellence in health and social care. Sarah will now go on to represent the East Midlands region at the national finals in March 2022.
Andrea Beech, also a care assistant at Carefound Home Care, was named as a finalist for the Care Newcomer award at the East Midlands event.
Jade Farnsworth, Registered Branch Manager at Carefound Home Care in West Bridgford, said:
“I am so proud of the recognition Sarah and Andrea have received, just as I am of every member of my team at Carefound Home Care. They have shown incredible expertise, compassion and resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic which has enabled their clients to live a better quality of life at home.”
“Sarah has been a care assistant with us since we opened in West Bridgford last year and thoroughly deserves this award for the outstanding care she provides.”
“She is also a great example of how you can develop a career in care having already moved up our progression system and begun her diploma qualification in health and social care.”
