Following the huge success of West Bridgford Junior School’s first ever Community Food Festival last year, the event will return on Saturday 13 May 2023.
Originally, this event was organised as part of the ongoing work of the Community Hub, formed last year to promote wider engagement with the local school community, and celebrate the cultural diversity within our community.
Beth Arnold, who is Assistant Head Teacher and also leads the Community Hub spoke to The Wire about this year’s event:
“We’re delighted to be able to host this exciting gathering again this year.
“Last year was our first festival, and it was a huge success and very well attended by both our school community and the wider local community.
“This year we will showcase the return of some of our favourite food stalls such as Rocket Dogs, Falafal Baffle and Vegetarian Rasoi, alongside some new and enticing food offers!
“We are also thrilled to announce that we will be entertained throughout the day with a superb selection of live music from Paul Nose, Gary ’Elvis’, Samba Band and our very own West Bridgford Junior School Choir.
This year promises to be even better than last, and is open to all our friends and family in the local West Bridgford Community, so if you can make it we’d love to see you there.
Just come along anytime between 11am till 3.30pm to our Cottages Field on Tudor Road in West Bridgford NG2 6EB, and enjoy our Community Food Festival vibe!”
