West Bridgford: ‘Large amount’ of cannabis and cash found after car stopped on A52

Police discovered a large amount of drugs and cash after pulling over a car in West Bridgford.

Officers acting on intelligence, pulled the vehicle over on the A52 near Gamston, West Bridgford shortly after 1.30am this morning (Monday).

Inside they found a large amount of cannabis and cash, along with several mobile phones.

Two men, aged 22 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply.

Inspector Steven King, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Officers are continuously patrolling our road network to make life as difficult as possible for people transporting illegal substances.

“On this occasion we identified a vehicle of interest and found exactly what we were looking for.”
