West Bridgford Liberty Singers at Taking Action on Dementia event

PUBLISHED:

The West Bridgford Liberty Singers opened today’s free event at Rushcliffe Arena with a couple of their favourite songs.

‘Taking Action on Dementia’ aimed to bring together people for whom dementia touches a part of their lives whether they are suffering from it in the early stages, or caring for a family member.

It provided the opportunity to meet with others, to get information and support and a chance to learn more about services.

Singing Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Everywhere’ and the Hollies ‘The Air That I Breathe’ the West Bridgford Liberty Singers created a lovely sound and the opportunity for everyone to listen and join in.
After singing, one lady on the audience said how much she’d enjoyed it and revealed that she hadn’t sung herself for many years.
She and one of the singers then sang of ‘Morning Has Broken’ together and made everyone feel a little bit more uplifted.
