Compton Acres mum of three, Sara lomas launched her own fitness club called Fit4EveryBody last year, aimed at making fitness both accessible and fun for all ages and abilities.
Her passion to tackle fitness-related health problems at a grass-roots level has seen her club grow from offering ‘Little-fit’ activity classes to children under five years old, to now offering movement and fitness classes for all age groups, families and adults too.
Whilst lockdown posed a threat to the survival of many small businesses, Sara stayed positive and is now excited to make a comeback this week.
“When I had to stop running classes in March I knew things would be hard. I really want to thank everyone here in West Bridgford and the surrounding areas for all of their support and encouragement making my return possible.
“Our community here is brilliant. I rely on word-of-mouth to promote my classes and so far have had a great response. I’m bursting with excitement and can’t wait to get restarted again this week. Class structures have all had to be tweaked to allow for social distancing and lots of extra cleaning is in place but the fun factor will definitely remain unchanged.
“More than ever before it is apparent that you can never underestimate your health and how precious it is. I think the key to a healthy lifestyle is starting that lifestyle at a young age so that incorporating activity into our daily lives becomes a habit from the get-go.
“Sometimes we lose our way on our journey perhaps due to injury, lack of opportunity or motivation or often due to lack of time which is why I’ve started doing classes for adults too which are suitable for all abilities; encouraging people to schedule in some ‘me’ time. My classes really are for everybody.”
Classes are set to start tomorrow and will run at Rushcliffe Arena, Lady Bay Scout Hall, Wilford Church Hall and Ruddington Village Hall and to celebrate there are lots of discounted classes including FREE ones.
