A nine-year-old West Bridgford girl has raised more than £160 for a Nottingham homelessness charity after taking on the challenge of climbing Snowdon.
Florence Buck, who lives in West Bridgford and attends Kinoulton Primary School, completed the climb on 19 September to raise money for Framework.
It was Florence herself who asked if she could fundraise, after saying she felt it was unfair that not everyone has a home.

She set herself a target of £100 but has already raised £165 for the Nottingham-based charity.
Florence climbed with her 10-year-old sister Isabel, their spaniel Molly, her mum, her mum’s partner and his son.

The challenge involved a 12-mile walk from the car to the summit of Snowdon, which stands at 1,085 metres, and back again, taking around seven hours in total.

Her family said Florence was very tired during the climb but remained determined to reach the top.
At one point, she told her sister she could not quit because she was raising money for charity.
The achievement was all the more impressive because Florence admits she normally hates walking.

After completing the challenge, when asked which muscles hurt, she replied: “All of them.”
Florence’s family hopes her effort will help raise further funds for Framework and awareness of its work supporting homeless and vulnerable people in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
