The store received an amazing response to its call to action – asking the local community to help them decide which charity they should support for 2018 – which made it very difficult to make the final selection.

‘We were overwhelmed, both with the number of nominations and votes, and also by the strength and justification of the charity applications,’ says Specsavers West Bridgford store director, Stephen Rogers.

‘It made it a really tough process to make the selection, so much so that in the end we couldn’t chose between Renew37 and The Friary, so decided we’d pick them both.’

The store will support the two charities for the next 12 months through a range of fundraising activities and will also be asking for donations in return for specs MOTs (cleaning and adjustments) to help support the causes. Funds raised will be split equally between the two charities.
