Officers in West Bridgford came together to remember those who died in the Twin Towers, New York Terrorist attack at 1.46 pm exactly nineteen years after the attack on 11 September 2001.

Officers and Firefighters came together at the new West Bridgford base on Loughborough Road to remember those who lost their lives including New York Fire Fighters and Police Officers with a two-minute silence.

It has been a very positive first week at the Loughborough Road Fire Station which saw Response, Neighbourhoods, and CID officers moved from the old Police Station in West Bridgford to the new joint facility.

West Bridgford Station Manager Craig Day said “I think it has been a really good week and am pleased that your teams have felt welcomed.”

Neighbourhood Inspector Craig Berry added: “The move has gone well and our teams are settling into the station and getting to know our Fire Service colleagues.

“Today was an opportunity to stand with our Fire colleagues to remember those who lost their lives in that dreadful event in which both Fire and Police colleagues also died.”
