Rushcliffe is marking Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.
Rushcliffe Borough Council will be hosting a two-minute silence in Central Avenue, West Bridgford, shortly before 11am on Saturday (November 11).
The event will include Cllr Debbie Mason, the mayor of Rushcliffe, other members of the community and local dignitaries.
All are welcome to attend the Remembrance event on Central Avenue in West Bridgford that starts shortly before 11am with a bugler playing The Last Post on the stroke of the hour and the two minute reflection.
Cllr Mason said: “This year as with every year it is so important that we pay our respects for Armistice Day and remember all who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in serving their country, not just those lost in World Wars 1 and 2 but sadly in more recent conflicts.
“Residents and the local community are invited for the two minute silence in West Bridgford. Please arrive in time ahead of 11am.”
