Bargain hunters are in for a treat next month as Abbey Road Primary School in West Bridgford holds its first ever Safari Sale
Stalls will be cropping up outside homes throughout the school’s catchment area and beyond, with a map provided so that shoppers can make their way from one to the other.
Bring your friends and family to enjoy a fun-filled day of bargain hunting.
The event, on Sunday 12 May, has been organised by the Abbey Road Home School Association and all money raised will be used to provide facilities and equipment to support the school and enhance pupils’ education.
Participants must pay £8 to hold a stall and have its location included on the official map, but get to keep all of their takings from whatever they sell on the day.
Headteacher Ly Toom said: “We’re hoping this is going to be a great community event and would love as many people as possible to get involved.
“You don’t need to have children at the school to take part, just head out on the day and do a spot of shopping, or sign up to host your own stall if you’d like to make a bit of extra cash ahead of the summer.
“Looking after the environment is very important to us all at the school, and what better way to do this than recycling and re-using pre-loved items that might otherwise go to waste?”
If you live in the Abbey Park area and would like to get involved, email: abbeyroad.hsa.safari@gmail to enquire or search for ‘Abbey Road Home School Association’ on Facebook where you’ll find the map and registration form.
