On Saturday 3 July the West Bridgford Branch of the RNLI (lifeboats) held a street collection in the town centre.
The event this with the Food and Drink Market on the Croquet Lawn to which the branch were invited, and they provided an information/ book stall, with collectors on Central Avenue.
It was a day of sunshine and showers, but still a good day for the RNLI who raised £545 in cash with money donated via bank cards still going through the system.
RNLI said:
‘We also  gained four new members. The RNLI would like to thank Rushcliffe Borough council for their support and all who contributed to make this a successful day. Thank you all.’
