West Bridgford site manager named as one of UK’s best house builders

On 1st September, Dave Pringle of Bellway Homes was honoured for his dedication to building homes of exceptional quality before an audience of 550 in the second round of the annual NHBC Pride in the Job Awards for his site in West Bridgford, Nottingham.

Now in its 37th year, Pride in the Job, organised by NHBC, the UK’s leading new home warranty insurance provider, is the most highly regarded competition in the house-building industry dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standards in house building.

Judging for the awards is rigorous, beginning in July 2016, with each site manager assessed across 44 areas of site management, including technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and the quality controls in place. Dave was selected from more than 16,000 UK site managers, and is one of 22 to be recognised at a ceremony held at The Athena, Leicester.

Construction Director for Bellway East Midlands, Lee Wilkinson, said it was a fantastic achievement to see so many of the division’s managers receive awards.

He said: “An NHBC Pride in the Job award is the highest accolade a site manager can win, so to have five of our division’s managers picking up these awards is a fantastic achievement.

“Bellway has a reputation as a good quality housebuilder, and this only reinforces the message that we genuinely care about the homes we are building, and take great pride in the work that we do.

“All five of our site managers should be very proud of what they have achieved at each of their sites, and everybody at Bellway is delighted to see their hard work and dedication recognised.”

Commenting on the Awards, Richard Hartshorn, NHBC Regional Director said:

“Every year, the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards give us the chance to recognise the dedication of the UK top site managers and their commitment to new home quality.“

“Last year NHBC registered 15,915 new homes in the region, it is site managers like Dave who play an important role in delivering these, whilst pushing up the standards of new homes, through their persistence, passion and a commitment to build homes of the highest quality for their customers and we wish them all the success in the future.”
