A hairdresser from West Bridgford has been recognised as one of UK’s most outstanding hairdressers after being named as a finalist in this year’s British Hairdressing Business Awards (BHBAs).
Jessica Neil who works at KH Hair on Central Avenue, captured the attention of a host of industry judges and is one of just six remaining stylists across the UK in the Salon Stylist of the Year category.
The awards, hosted by Hairdressers Journal International (HJI), celebrate the very best salon businesses, recognising and rewarding the creative talents of individuals and teams across the UK.
For her entry, Jessica had to prove her technical and relational skills, standing out for her customer care, extensive product knowledge and commitment to keeping up to date with the latest industry trends. Her entry was backed up by a host of glowing client testimonials.
Jessica, who lives in Gedling, says she almost cried when she heard the news. “When I received the notification, I was so happy.” she says. “I’m over the moon to be recognised for the hard work I do on a day-to-day basis with my lovely clients. This award means everything to me and makes all my efforts worthwhile.
Jessica will now travel to London in August to face a panel of judges before the winners will be revealed at a glittering awards evening at Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge on 4 October.
