Staff at the Playroom Nursery, West Bridgford have brought history to life for their youngsters.
Children aged 9 months to nearly five joined in making their own poppy wreath and placed it as a mark of respect in the Nottingham War Memorial gardens to remember those who have given their lives for others.

Further activities continued back at nursery where the children were able to wear a World War 1 helmet and listened to lots of information about its use.
Teaching history as part of our culture, is a very important part of our nursery life in helping children to understand the world in which they live advised Helen Luddington, Nursery Childcare Director.
This was a proud moment that was shared with adults and children together, to remember those who have defended our freedoms and given their lives in doing so.
