Wollaton Park opening delayed for safety checks ahead of Storm Éowyn

Wollaton Park staff will be carrying out site checks this morning Friday 24 January to ensure it’s safe to open as Storm Eowyn arrives.

Nottingham City Council said:

‘Customer Notice: Storm Éowyn is expected to bring very strong winds and potential disruption this Friday, 24th January 2025.

‘The Met Office have issued a Yellow Warning for wind in the East Midlands.

‘Strong winds are expected throughout the day with wind gusts over 50mph.

‘We expect to have a delayed opening while we complete grounds site checks in the morning. Please check our website before travelling for further updates.

‘While onsite, visitors are advised to exercise caution, avoid large trees & woodland areas and be mindful of signage.’

Also note Monday 27th January: Wollaton Park will be closed for routine maintenance until 2pm, the Hall will be closed all day.
