Police have arrested a woman in connection with an alleged fail-to-stop collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Scrooby.
Nottinghamshire Police was called to a report that a car had mounted the pavement on the A614, near to Gibbet Hill Lane, and hit a 56-year-old woman before allegedly leaving the scene.
The woman, who was thrown into a hedge following the collision, was taken to hospital with serious injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening.
Enquiries led to police arresting a suspect today on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a collision. A 41-year-old woman remains in custody.
Detective Sergeant Adam Cooper, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We’re still urging anyone who was travelling along the A614 at the relevant time and witnessed the collision to please come forward and we’d also like to hear from any motorists who may have captured any dashcam footage of the incident.”
