Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for information after a 42-year-old woman was attacked in front of her children and robbed of her handbag.
She was waiting at a bus stop with two six-year-old children when she was punched to the face and had her handbag pulled from her shoulder, pulling her to the ground.
The incident happened in Nottingham Road, near the Aldi store, New Basford, at around 10.05pm on Sunday (9 December 2018).
After taking the bag the man then kicked her before running off across Nottingham Road and down Zulu Road. The victim suffered a fractured eye socket.
The man is described as white, aged about 28-29 years old, about 5ft 6ins, and of a slim build. He was clean shaven and had a ring in his lower part of his nose. He was wearing a black hooded coat or jacket with his hood up.
Detective Constable Karen Brown, who is leading the investigation, said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the woman and her children.
“We are determined to catch the man who carried out this despicable attack and we hope someone will recognise his description.”
