Two police officers were spat at in the face while conducting routine enquiries.
One of the officers was also bitten on the elbow during the assault in Colwick Woods Court, Sneinton, at around 4pm on Thursday.
A 61-year-old woman from Sneinton was arrested and charged with two counts of assault of an emergency worker and was bailed to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 19 November.
Inspector Asif Mohammed, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We take reports of police assault extremely seriously and anyone suspected of assaulting our officers will be put before the courts at the earliest opportunity.
“Thankfully the officers were not hurt but will be fully supported by the force.”
