Police have charged a woman after two officers were assaulted.
Officers were called to a house in Bilborough at around 7.40am on Wednesday (29 June) following reports of a disturbance.
While attempting to calm the situation down, a police officer was hit in the face, while a second was also bitten.
Both suffered minor injuries during the incident.
Jennifer Bennett, 32, was arrested at the scene and later charged with assaulting an emergency worker.
Bennett, of Beckley Road, Bilborough, has been released on bail and is next due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 22 July 2022.
Police Constable Zoe East, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “After being called to reports of a disturbance, two of our officers sustained minor injuries while trying to carry out their duties.
“We sadly see numerous incidents of our officers being assaulted at work and it simply has to stop.
“Our officers are dedicated to helping others and keeping people safe and shouldn’t have to experience this behaviour as part of their roles.
“Acts of violence against emergency service workers are not just part of the job of being a police officer and will never be tolerated by Nottinghamshire Police.
“We have now charged a suspect in connection with this incident and criminal proceedings are now underway.”
