Police investigating reports of multiple burglaries and thefts have charged a suspect.
Officers had been looking into reports of a dwelling burglary in Short Hill, in the Lace Market area of Nottingham city centre on 26 June at around 1.50am, in which electrical items and bank cards were stolen.
A further report of parcels reportedly being taken and a theft from a store in the Victoria centre, Nottingham city centre, were also made.
A 30-year-old woman from Hyson Green was charged with dwelling burglary, burglary, fraud and shop theft.
She appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (30 June) and was remanded into custody to next appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ on 7 July.
Detective Inspector Chris Berryman, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Following a thorough investigation by CID including CCTV enquiries, we have arrested a woman in relation to these reports.
“We understand the impact any form of burglary, theft and fraud can have on a person, family and business and will always do everything we can to investigate and get to the bottom of exactly what happened.
“Our enquiries are continuing and although we have made an arrest we would ask anyone who may have any information or who saw anything suspicious in those areas to get in touch.”
